A Keratin treatment is a professional smoothing service that infuses keratin protein into the hair to reduce frizz, add shine, protein, and improve manageability. It does not chemically straighten your hair — it works with your hair's natural structure, leaving you with smoother, easier to style hair that still moves the way hair should, whether that means loosening your curl, straightening, or keeping your curl.

Most salons carry one or two Keratin formulas and try to make every head of hair fit them. We carry twelve. That means we can choose the exact right formula for your hair type, texture, density, and goals — instead of compromising.

Ten of our twelve Keratin formulas are formaldehyde free — gentler smoothing chemistry that works for most clients, with no compromise on result.

For highly resistant textures (or for those wanting a straighter look) where a formaldehyde free option would not deliver, we reserve two advanced formulas with trace formaldehyde. They exist for the small minority of hair that needs them — and they are only used after an honest consultation about whether they are right for you.

Aerovex is a professional air filtration system that captures airborne particulates at the chair throughout chemical services. It runs the entire appointment, so the air you and your stylist are breathing stays clean. It is one of the safety standards we hold ourselves to that most NYC salons do not.

Most Keratin appointments at our salon are completed in 2 to 3 hours, depending on hair length, density, and which of the 12 formulas you receive. We do not rush the chemistry — but we also do not stretch the appointment unnecessarily.

Color can be done on the same day ( in most cases) before or after the Keratin treatment.
